Five Day Kareeri Isthi Yagam Begins
Tirumala 19 Aug (P.R.O) The TTD has started five day Kareeri Isthi Yagam duly invoking the blessing of Lord Varuna for Rains at Parveti Mandapam near Gogarbham Dam, Tirumala on Wednesday morning.
Speaking on this occasion the Sri I.Y.R.Krishna Rao, Executive Officer, TTDs informed that for the Loka Kalyanam and for the well being of the people of Andhra Pradesh as well as the country, the TTD has started the Kareeri Isthi in Tirumala. Nearly 40 Ritwiks from different parts of Andhra Pradesh are performing this yagam. The yagam will conclude on Aug 23.
Sri Gopalakrishna, DyEO ( Temple), Tirumala and others took part.

Mangala Gowri vrada Obsered .(direct Reporting)
This author,on a Election Reporting at Ramanagara,known as Silk City.45KMs from Bangalore,in a
Beautiful 4 lane Highway to Mysore from Bangalore,had a sweeping occation to observe Mangala Gowri
Vrata.
The said occasion was going on in a small but vibrant MALLESWARAM TEMPLE,housing Shiva,Parvati and
Ganesha in 3 different Garpagraha.All deities were well decorated,with flower and ornaments.The temple does not have any " Dwajastampha".One beautiful "simhavahana " was in the middle of Temple
premises,evidencing the Parvati is in the habit of rounding streees in Simha vahana.
The author was presented with salted CUCUMBER?Dhall Chocked in Butter Milk as Prasada.
No doubt it was a rare occasion.
Needless to add that Vaishno Devi in Jammu as called as Simha vahini and Devotees up/down the Hill
say Mata Ti and Simha vahini.

(Meaning) : May the aadhi kaaraNam for this world , who lifted
and brought up the moss-covered BhUmi Devi from the depths of
the Ocean ( RasAthALam ) with His powerful arms , May this Lord
who creates , protects and dissolves all the world and its entities ,
May that Hari NaarAyaNan grow all auspiciousness for adiyEn !
(Comments) : Vedam says that the Lord took VarAhAvathAram ,
dived into the ocean and found BhUmi DEvi and lifted Her up with
His 100 hands (Satha BaahunA) and placed Her on His tusk and
brought Her to the surface of the PraLaya waters . She held on
to His damshtram ( Cannine tooth) firmly as She made the ascent with
Her Lord with the gigantic roopam of a wild Boar . After reaching
the surface , She begged Her Lord to reveal an easy way for Her
children to escape the cycles of births and deaths . The ever merciful
Jn~ana PirAn responded with the VarAha Charama slOkam for
our benefit . One can enjoy the darsanam of Jn~AnappirAn at
the dhivya dEsam of Thiruvidaventhai holding BhUmi Devi affectionate;y
on His tusk and performing the UpadEsam on the VarAha Charam slOkam .
BhU DEvi's sthOthram of the Lord is at BhAgavatham : 5.18.39 .
BhU VarAha Moorrthy's manthram is at Bhaagavatham : 5.18.35 .
VarAha Moorthy is present in three forms : Aathi , Bhu and Yaj~na Varaaha
forms .
Adhi Varahan is at Thirumala (Adhi VarAha KshEthram) on the banks of
Swamy PushkaraNi . BhU VarAhan is at SrimushNam as Moolavar in SaaLagrAma
silaa form . Yaj~na Varahar is at SrimushNam as Uthsavar . VishNu Shasra
NaamAs
( 971-982) describe the Yaj~na svaroopam of Sriman NaarAyaNa .

(Meaning): May the powerful Hari with the four Veda MaathAs at His sacred
Thiruvadi , the entire charAcharam inside His stomach as VaDapathra-
Saayee , all the Sages on His hair ends and the entire Yaagams on
His face as Yaj~na VarAhan confer ever growing MangaLams on adiyEn !
(Comments) : Srimath BhAgavatham describes the Yaj~nams and the vessels
as well as Havis used in various Yaj~nams found in the different angams of
Yaj~na VarAha Moorthy .The seven Soma Yaj~nams ( AgnishtOmam , Ukthyam ,
ShOdasi , VaajabhEyam , AthirAthram and AbthOryAmam ) are recognized as
Skin , Flesh , Medas , Bones , Majjai , Blood and Suklam of the Lord
respectively .

describe the body of the Lord being made up of various utensils and Havis
as PurOdAsam ( the Havis in His stomach) , PrAcchithya (Brahma's havis) in
His mouth of this Yaj~napathi . Jaya Deva salutes Him as : " Kesava dhrutha
Sookara Roopan " holding BhU devi between His tusks .

VarAha Moorthy ) grow adiyEn's auspiciousness more and more !

Sravana Pournami Mahotsavam
Srinivasa Padmavathi Kalyanam and Raksha Bandanam was performed with religious fervour in connection with Sravana Pournami Mahotsavam at the grounds behind TTD Adm Bldg, Tirupati on Wednesday. Large number of devotees witnessed the celestial wedding.

Dear All,
Do you know that “UPAKARMA” (Avani Avittam) for Yajur Veda falls on 5th of August 2009 on a Wednesday.
Many of us would be busy with their regular routine and office work and hence would not have time to go to a temple or a place where people gather to perform their Upakarma rites on that day. Also a priest (Vaadhyar) may not be available to come to your place to make us perform the rites.
However, aeveryone would be interested in performing the rites. Don’t worry, we have build an online platform to satisfy your interest by bringing a Vaadhyar right in front of you, online.
Would you be interested to participate in a LIVE BROADCAST of the Upakarma? You will have a Vaadhyar taking you through all the rites to be performed. If yes, please visit and register at www.traditionalwisdom.in
* You can register for the live Upakarma by providing the required details like Vedam, Gothram (These are made mandatory only to avoid unnecessary registrations)
* You have to Log IN with the same name and password used while registration to participate in the live Upakarma.
* Once done you would see the video screen where you can see the live shoot from the video camera here on 5th August. Please note there would be no video before that as this is a live broadcast and would be available on 5th August
* In case of text or voice interaction, please click on do you want interaction?
* You will have a separate window wherein you can enter your name in the window near Login
* You can type the text messages as usual for text chat
* In case you wish to talk, then enable Auto button at the bottom of the voice slot.
* When you talk you can see the green light - indicating that your voice is getting transmitted.
* Please disable auto once you have finished talking
There will be a coordinator sitting near the Vaadhyar to interact with the users to text or voice chat. Since the user would be performing the rites, we request that he should have a person to interact in case of any clarifications.
Be happy that you have performed the rites with the guidance of a Vaadhyar, though you are thousands of miles away.
