A
delegation of the Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch requested the President of
India not to give consent to the Mining and Mineral Amendment Bill 2015 as
it violated the constitutional and legal provisions of protection to adivasi
communities. The President carefully read through the memorandum and assured the
delegation that he would consider the issues it had raised.
