NFIW, organized a protest demonstration
today in front of Bikaner House, New
Delhi and submitted a memorandum to the CM of
Rajasthan through the Resident Commissioner. The protesters demanded immediate
filing of FIR against all those police
personnel including the SHO of Vishwakarma PS, Jaipur who lathicharged and
sexually abused NFIW State Secretary and a well known social activist Nisha
Siddhu, AITUC leader Premji, AISF leader Samarth and many migranr Bihari
workers on 30th June 2015.
In spite
of meeting, the Home Minister twice and his assurance, and Police Commissioner by the leaders of TUs,
Women Organizations, Human Rights organizations, the Rajasthan Police
Commissioner refused to file FIR saying that it was a minor incident.
The demonstration was led by NFIW leaders Gargi
Chakravartty, Annie Raja, Delhi
State leaders Shyam Kali,
Shakuntala and others.
CPI National Secretary D.Raja MP who visited the migrant workers
and other leaders at Jaipur also spoke to the RC and demanded immediate filing
of FIR.
AIDWA General Secretary Jagmati Sangwan, AISF leader Kanhaiya
were also addressed the women
protesters. AISF leader
